Embracing Our Community: LIVE, offers an opportunity for candid, dynamic conversation among people who reflect the city’s remarkable diversity and share a commitment to making life better for those at greatest risk.

Cedars-Sinai has launched a virtual forum to engage Los Angeles leaders and community partners in dialogue on some of the city’s most critical issues, including homelessness, health equity, food insecurity, and economic stability. The town hall series, Embracing Our Community: LIVE, offers an opportunity for candid, dynamic conversation among people who reflect the city’s remarkable diversity and share a commitment to making life better for those at greatest risk. The inaugural event, held Sept. 30, focused on “Homelessness in the Time of COVID-19,” and featured a discussion among Va Lecia Adams Kellum, PhD, president and CEO of St. Joseph Center; Elise Buik, president and CEO of United Way of Greater LA; Antonia Hernandez, president and CEO of the California Community Foundation; and Art Ochoa, Cedars-Sinai’s Senior Vice President of Advancement and Chief Advancement Officer.
