Ms. Fiallos is one of the many thousands of single mothers who fell on hard times and could no longer afford to live in her previous home.

St. Joseph Center stepped in to help them create a better experience just in time for Christmas – a safe home for her son Jamari – when they moved into SJC’s interim housing development, SOLA Open Air: A Safe Landing for Families.

Ms. Fiallos and her son Jamari moved into their new permanent home this April. Since being housed, Ms. Fiallos has continued to work and recently received an emergency housing voucher, which will allow her to successfully exit Rapid Recovery Housing (RRH) services next month.

Rapid Re-Housing provides move-in assistance and short-term rental subsidies along with case management and supportive services. These programs are designed to serve individuals, youth, and families who have relatively fewer barriers to self-sufficiency and are capable of quickly regaining and sustaining stability.
