HOME IS
THE FOUNDATION
OF STABILITY

The Reality

Housing Shapes Lives

Across our region, thousands of neighbors lack stable housing, driven in part by a shortage of affordable housing. Without a safe home, the effects reach far beyond the present moment, shaping health, education, family stability, and opportunity. For many, these challenges can influence outcomes not just today, but across generations.

As the Coordinated Entry System (CES) Lead for the Westside of Los Angeles, we help connect people to the right housing at the right time, with radical care, respect, and continuity guiding every step.

OUR APPROACH

What Support
Makes Possible

St. Joseph Center supports individuals, youth, and families in securing and sustaining safe housing. This work extends beyond placement, helping create consistency, belonging, and a foundation people can rely on.

Housing is paired with individualized, healing-centered support that responds to the realities people face, including trauma, health needs, system involvement, and economic instability.

FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

The Future Starts with Youth and Families

Housing stability for youth and families is one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent future homelessness and poverty. When families are supported early—especially young parents and transition-age youth – the ripple effects last for generations.

We intentionally design housing programs that:

Keep families together with coordinated, family-centered care and guidance

Support youth ages 18–24 during the transition to adulthood

Combine housing with support in education, workforce pathways, and mental health care

“When we stabilize a family,
we change the future for the
next generation.”
