Kenyell
Kenyell’s journey to a more stable life began when she joined our Office of Diversion & Reentry (ODR) program. Like many we serve, she struggled with homelessness. However, Kenyell’s life changed when she connected with our support team at St. Joseph Center.
Her case manager, Tonye, built a strong and trusting relationship with Kenyell, helping her stay focused on her goals. Kenyell committed to the program, determined to keep up with her medications and follow interim housing rules.
A big step forward came when Kenyell was considered “housing ready.” This amazing news matched her to project-based housing, and Kenyell was moved into her very own, fully furnished apartment.
“All my hard work and dedication finally paid off,” Kenyell said, overjoyed.
Tonye and St. Joseph Center’s interim housing team worked to ensure Kenyell succeeds and prioritizes her mental health. She continues to receive support, including healthcare services.
Kenyell’s journey home shows that people can make real changes in their lives with support and dedication. St. Joseph Center is proud of Kenyell we will continue to celebrate her progress and a bright future ahead.
