Dr. Ryan J. Smith has been appointed to serve as president and chief executive officer of St. Joseph Center, one of the largest grassroots organizations in Los Angeles County focused on providing housing, mental health, job training, and other vital services to underserved communities. The appointment is effective on March 1.

CA Assembly Awards St. Joseph Center $600,000 for RV Buyback and Disposal Program

California Assembly member Laura Friedman and Councilmember Nithya Raman presented a $600,000 check from the City of Los Angeles to St. Joseph Center on November 29th for Council District 4’s RV Buyback and Disposal Program. St. Joseph Center Interim CEO LaTonya Smith accepted the award alongside SJC team members and partners. We look forward to partnering with Assembly member Friedman and Councilmember Raman for this funding to address vehicular homelessness and create cleaner and safer neighborhoods for the community.
