Lauren

We recently welcomed Lauren, a bright and enthusiastic student from Loyola Marymount University (LMU), to the Bread and Roses Café! Inspired by her involvement as President of Belles’ service organization at LMU, a group that frequently discusses the vital work of the Café, Lauren decided to dedicate her time to addressing the critical issues of food insecurity and homelessness.

“I’m Lauren, and this is my first day,” she shared with a warm smile.

“They always talk about Bread and Roses Café (at Belles), so I wanted to come here.”

Lauren’s dedication to this mission is clear.

“I am passionate about addressing food insecurity and homelessness,” she explained. “This was a really cool way to combine them into one.”

Her eagerness to contribute and her understanding of the interconnectedness of these challenges are truly inspiring. We are thrilled to have Lauren join our volunteer team and look forward to all she brings to supporting our community. Welcome, Lauren!
