Oscar

Oscar, a 61-year-old father of four, came to Ánimo after years of anxiety, homelessness, insomnia, and chronic health issues. He also lost his lifelong passion for music. Ánimo supported him in setting treatment goals, including addressing medical needs, accessing community resources, and feeding his family by frequenting Bread & Roses Food Pantry. With ongoing guidance and care, Oscar got housing, improved his mental health, and took care of his physical health.

“I’ve been doing very well, and my life has changed a lot. I feel I’m a different person today at this moment.”
“Me ha ido muy bien, y mi vida ha cambiado mucho. Siento que soy una persona diferente hoy en este momento.”

Despite challenges like early-stage Alzheimer’s and financial hardship, he remained committed to his goals and even regained his deep love of music.
