Raine
Raine, a graduate of the Bread & Roses Training Kitchen, was among the first to complete the program following its relaunch after a pandemic hiatus, graduating in 2023. During her time in the program, Raine was a young mother of twins navigating significant life challenges while pursuing her passion for cooking. Raine was inspired to enroll in the program by a family friend who launched a successful culinary business after graduating. Raine sought to gain the skills needed to build a stable future for her family.
Raine distinguished herself as a class leader. In her valedictorian speech, she expressed deep gratitude for the support she received throughout her journey.
Raine’s culinary aspirations include becoming a pastry chef and working as a private chef within her community. She credits her grandmother and mother as her primary inspirations, citing their ability to “bring people together with good food.”
St. Joseph Center celebrates Raine’s achievements and views her journey as a testament to the transformative power of the Bread & Roses Training Kitchen program.
